From our experience, many organizations are not balanced between conformance & creativity results a non-structured approach to employees’ career development and to organization processes improvement. Organizations should adapt to forthcoming exogenous variables. In our days, is vital for organizations to develop effective and creative ways to transform its own business operations.
Even if a non-blame culture is established to organization and related human resources procedures are well implemented based on anthropocentric approach, many times employees’ creative thinking has as a result the disapproval by others and by organization’s culture in general. -Organizational culture should be aligned with innovation, creativity and inventiveness
-Communicate organization goals through detailed key performance indicators
-Identify and communicate quality management procedures that can support new and innovative ideas
-Managers should successfully communicate the value of creativity through specific quality oriented procedures (e.g. reward of innovative ideas and intelligence solutions)
-Employees should have access to information and to participate to process re-engineering
-Employees should be trained how to navigate between creativity and conformity
-Benefit and Reward system should be related to conformity, productivity, creativity and other related values
-Project and work groups to brainstorm and to communicate well each other’s ideas
-Employees to be encouraged to share best practices
-Adapt creative-thinking techniques and exercises, such as ‘ideal final result’
-Participation of employees to forums, research programs and other group or team-oriented environments
-Employee surveys (employee engagement surveys, etc.) to materialize and employees’ feedback to be part of the organization continuous improvement
-Cooperation with suppliers, manufacturers for new ideas and products development
-New ideas and innovative solutions to be part of management of change procedure
-Continuous improvement process should be implemented and employees’ valuable feedback should be part of organization’s knowledge center
-New identified hazards-controls should be recorded and employees to be motivated to deal with daily risks
