Regional guide (Version 2)   published by ReCAAP ISC in collaboration with various organizations (ASA, FASA, IFC, INTERTANKO, OCIMF, RSIS, SSA) to promote safe and secure seas for the shipping community.

This Regional Guide (Version 2) includes updated information such as the modus operandi for the different types of perpetrators and contact details of the relevant agencies. Additionally, detailed guidelines for Risk Assessment process are described in section 04. A Risk Assessment must be ship-specific and voyage-specific and should be carried out prior to entering the related sea areas.

The aforementioned guide is aligned with IMO information, especially for the reporting of incidents to the nearest coastal State and flag State, as per MSC.1 Circular 1333/Rev.1 and Circular 1334. The Regional Guide contents are the following:
