The formal launch will be made in September 2020 and the new RightShip Platform will replace the current platform Qi, as well as the predictive Risk Rating.

The new Safety Score based on transparency, control of ratings, shipping industry feedback and is the result of collaboration with owners, operators, managers, charterers and others across shipping industry.

The new score based on a proactive approach. Owners, operators, managers have the ability to manage safety and risk, to improve safety standards and processes through their responsiveness to incidents, detentions and deficiencies.

More specific, the new Safety Score uses a refined methodology to analyse critical factors for a specific vessel, as described below:

– the severity of any previous incidents

– the frequency of incidents

– previously identified detentions

– previously identified deficiencies

The Safety Score creates a level playing for all vessels, allowing dry bulk operators to benchmark their procedures against other best performers, as part of their continuous improvement process.
